Autumn Glory Festival on October 9-13, 2013

If you have ever been to the Autumn Glory Festival in Oakland, MD you were probably looking forward to this event all year long.

From Wednesday on there will be lots of things to see and do in and around Oakland, MD. There will be glasblowing and stained glass cutting demonstrations, art exhibits, craft shows – just to mention a few of the possibilities offered… Oakland is only a short drive away from Deep Creek Lake in Garrett County – just follow 219 and you’ll be there in about 20 minutes.

On Thursday from 4-7pm the Oktoberfest Dinner and Celebration is scheduled. At the Oakland Fire Hall you can enjoy German-style food and drink! After dinner you probably don’t want to miss the Fireman’s Parade at 7pm – all the beautiful shiny fire engines are always an impressing sight. After the parade a live Oompah-band will entertain you.
