The Moonshadow Cafe in Accident, MD has another evening of live music coming up tonight, January 10, 2014. Snowy Sunday ahead! Go Wrestling!

On January 5, 2014 it’s time for another SuGO Sunday at Gears in Accident, MD. The event starts at 1pm and will end at approx. 5pm. Never heard of SuGO? Gears describe it as “the not-so-ancient-art of building Sumo Wrestling Robots using LEGO MINDSTORMS”. You and your team will build LEGO robots and then compete in a wrestling tournament. Need some fresh air?

The Garrett County State Parks offer their First Day Hikes on New Year’s Day. At Herrington Manor State Park, the hike starts at 1pm and you are invited to bring your (well-behaved, on a leash) dog with you. A a park ranger will guide this hike around Herrington Manor and will inform you about what you need to know when you bring your dog to a state park. At New Germany State Park the hike will start at approx. 1pm. . . .

Although in some counties the landfills are ready to accept and recycle your Christmas trees, it would be a shame to throw it out just yet. After the hustle and bustle of gift giving and visiting with friends and family, now you could just enjoy your Christmas decorations and your beautiful Christmas tree. What to do on New Year’s Eve

Still no plans for New Year’s Eve? There is a couple of events scheduled in the area: Dutch’s at Silvertree offers a New Year’s Celebration from 7pm to 1am.
