Accident, MD is only a 10 minute drive away from Deep Creek Lake, just follow Rt. 219N.

While you are in Accident: Don’t forget to visit the Drane House, an original frontier plantation home, built in 1797. The Drane House, a 1,5 story log and frame house, was built by James Drane, probably the first settler in Accident, MD.
