Happy 4th
It’s the 4th of July weekend here in Garrett County. Thursday July 3rd at dusk Broad ford Lake Park will be holding their annual fireworks display. Then on Friday July 4th at dusk Deep Creek Lake will be holding their Fire on the Mountain annual fireworks display. Please everyone have a safe and Happy 4th of July. April Showers Bring May Flowers!!
Spring is arriving in Garrett County. This May you can enjoy the Bird fest weekend at the Deep Creek Lake State Park Discovery Center. Beginning Saturday May 3rd at 6pm Katie Fallon will be speaking and signing her new book, and Sunday May 4th at 2pm there will be Bird Photography at the Aviary. Both days will host various children crafts, bird encounters, and walks. These activities will be taking place during different times of day. So come on out . . .
Pocket Park Movies
Looking for something fun to do with your family tonight? Weather permitting, the town of Oakland will be showing Iron Giant in the First United Pocket Park by the Cornish Café. If there is inclement weather the showing will be moved to the town pavilion, where the farmer’s market is held on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
